PROFILE is the coordinator of The National Framing Competition for picture framers in Australia.
This year, in conjunction with the PMA, the competition will be held at the PMA Digital Life Expo in Melbourne, June 4-6, at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre. All entries to the competition will be displayed in the foyer of the Exhibition Centre and will be viewed by thousands of photographers, image makers, gallery owners, picture framers and the general public.
This year’s image, ‘Beach Box, Mornington Peninsula’ was chosen because of its stong colours and the vast possibilities it offers in the way of creative framing. The image will be produced on an Epson printer using archival inks and Epson Fine Art paper.
To enter framers must submit the entry form below, with an entry fee of $20 (including cost of print). Framers will be responsible for delivering and collecting their entry from the venue. The competition will be judged by a panel of experts and the winners will be announced at the show. The competition is being sponsored by Epson, who are providing the materials to produce the print, and Antons, who have generously donated a television as the first prize.
Please note: entries must arrive at the Profile office by Wednesday, June 2, 2010, to be eligible for the competition.
